A Swiss research team has teamed up with a safety shoe brand to launch the world’s first self-healing safety shoe. 鞋底注入了特殊的纳米聚合物, and when wear or cracks are detected, the material can automatically repair within 24 hours, extending its service life by more than 30%.
This technology has been tested in the laboratory and is expected to be mass-produced by 2026, with a target price of $200 per pair, or disrupting the traditional replacement cycle.
